DESCRIPTION:Pianist Maxim Lando in a program including Liebermann’s Three Dances from Frankenstein and Stravinsky’s Three Movements from Petrouchka.\n\n\n\n\n22-year old American pianist Maxim Lando has been described as a “dazzling fire-eater” (ARTS San Francisco) and as “a total musical being” (The New Criterion). He was lauded by Anthony Tommasini in the New York Times as displaying “brilliance and infectious exuberance” combined with “impressive delicacy” and a “wild-eyed danger.” \nMaxim first made international headlines performing together with Lang Lang\, Chick Corea\, and The Philadelphia Orchestra led by Yannick Nézet-Séguin at Carnegie Hall’s 2017 Opening Night Gala. Since then\, he has performed with major orchestras around the world including Cleveland Orchestra\, Pittsburgh Symphony\, Toronto Symphony\, Israel Philharmonic\, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra\, Mariinsky Theater Orchestra\, Vancouver Symphony\, Zurich Chamber Orchestra\, Moscow Philharmonic\, St. Petersburg Symphony\, Memphis Symphony\, Charleston Symphony\, Czech National Symphony Orchestra\, and many others. \nThird Prize winner at the International Cleveland Piano Competition 2024\, Maxim is the recipient of a Gilmore Young Artist Award\, was named Musical America‘s New Artist of the Month\, and was awarded the 2022 Vendome Grand Prize. DESCRIPTION:Organist and pianist Jeremy Filsell performs two masterpieces by Liszt: the Piano Sonata in b minor and his monumental organ work “Fantasy on Ad Nos Salutarem Undam”.\n\nJeremy Filsell is one of only a few virtuoso performers as both pianist and organist. He has appeared as a solo pianist in Russia\, Scandinavia\, New Zealand and Australia and throughout the USA and UK. His concerto repertoire encompasses Bach\, Mozart and Beethoven through to Shostakovich\, John Ireland\, Constant Lambert and the Rachmaninov cycle. He has recorded the solo piano music of Herbert Howells\, Bernard Stevens\, Eugène Goossens and Johann Christoph Eschmann and recent releases include discs of Rachmaninov’s solo piano music (Signum)\, the first and second Rachmaninov Concertos (Raven)\, the piano music of Francis Pott (Acis)\, and the Clavier-Übung III of J. S Bach\, recorded on all five pipe organs in Saint Thomas Church. On this latest recording\, Gramophone magazine (February 2023) commented that here was ‘a hundred minutes of masterly insight into this highly organized manifestation of Lutheran principles [played] with fastidious care to mood and scale\, Filsell providing yet another masterclass in manual and pedal dexterity packed with interpretative insights; a Clavier-Übung III to savour and revisit.’ \nJeremy is on the international roster of Steinway Piano Artists and has recorded for BBC Radio 3\, USA\, and Scandinavian radio networks in solo and concerto roles. His discography comprises more than 35 solo recordings. Gramophone magazine commented on the series of 12 CDs comprising the premiere recordings of Marcel Dupré’s complete organ works for Guild in 2000 that it was ‘one of the greatest achievements in organ recording’. In 2005\, Signum released a 3-disc set of the six organ symphonies of Louis Vierne\, recorded on the 1890 Cavaillé-Coll organ in St. Ouen\, Rouen. He has taught at universities\, summer schools\, and conventions in both the UK and USA and has served on international competition juries in England and Switzerland. Recent solo engagements have taken him across the USA and UK and to Germany\, France\, Finland\, Sweden\, Norway\, Australia and New Zealand. In North America\, he concertizes under the auspices of Philip Truckenbrod Concert Artists. \nAs a teenager\, Jeremy Filsell was a Limpus\, Shinn & Durrant prizewinner for FRCO and was awarded the Silver Medal of the Worshipful Company of Musicians. As a student of Nicolas Kynaston and Daniel Roth\, he studied as an Organ Scholar at Keble College\, Oxford before completing graduate studies in piano performance with David Parkhouse and Hilary McNamara at the Royal College of Music in London. His PhD in Musicology from Birmingham City University/Conservatoire was awarded for research involving aesthetic and interpretative issues in the music of Marcel Dupré. \nBefore moving to the USA in 2008\, he held Academic and Performance lectureships at the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester\, and was a lay clerk in the Queen’s choir at St. George’s Chapel\, Windsor Castle. He combined an international recital and teaching career with being director of music at the Church of the Epiphany\, Artist-in-Residence at Washington National Cathedral\, and Professor of Organ at Peabody Conservatory (Baltimore)\, before moving to New York in April 2019 to become Organist & Director of Music at Saint Thomas Church\, Fifth Avenue. DESCRIPTION:The cello and piano duo of Johannes Gray and Anastasiya Magamedova play Sonatas for cello and piano by Chopin and Rachmaninoff.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGRAY-MAGAMEDOVA \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Duo Gray-Magamedova has been performing together since 2019 and enjoys giving concerts throughout Europe and the United States as well as the Middle East and Asia. They are known for their unique and varied recital repertoire programs\, particularly enjoying bringing unknown pieces into the spotlight and curating these programs often around a particular theme or concept such as Fairytales in music\, pieces inspired by folk melodies\, or neoclassicism and how composers look to the past to create new works. Their Fairytales project was recorded with the franco-suisse label Evidence Classics and will be released in early 2025. \nAs Young Artists in Residence at the Scandinavian Cello School in Denmark\, they participate in numerous music outreach projects as well as public concerts throughout Scandinavia. Since their debut at Lincoln Center at Paul Hall (New York City) in 2019\, the duo has continued to perform around the world\, in venues such as the Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin\, the Berlin Philharmonic\, the Theatre for Digital Arts in Dubai\, and the Tajikistan National Opera. In France\, they have been invited on “Générations France Musique\, le Live” as well as to give recital programmes. In 2022\, they became laureates of the European Chamber Music Competition. Cellist Johannes Gray received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris\, and pianist Anastasiya Magamedova received her Bachelor’s degree from the Juilliard School in New York. As a pianist\, Mr. Kvitko has captured the attention of music critics with his “polished pianism… glorious Horowitzian three-dimensional perspective” (Gramophone Magazine)\, “masterful\, intuitive playing… arresting artistry…  an iconoclastic sense for rubato rhythm and phrasing” (Fanfare Magazine)\, and has been praised for his “luminous touch… warm\, round sound… plenty of brilliance” as well as “a natural\, appealing musicality and sensual understanding of piano tone” (The Chronicle-Herald).  American Record Guide placed his recording of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition “among the best ever made” and included it on its coveted Critics’ Choice List. His critically acclaimed 2021 CD “Mozart. Post Scriptum” with Madrid Soloists Chamber Orchestra was praised as “an absolute explosion of creativity for Mr. Kvitko” (EarRelevant\, Atlanta). The album has also won The American Prize in Piano Performance (Concerto). His 2023 album “Schubert by Candlelight: Live in Madrid” was released by Reference Recordings label and received such accolades as “beautifully executed and easily joins the best currently available” (American Record Guide) and “outstanding recital… ranked among the best Schubert piano releases in years” (Fanfare Magazine). In 2013 Mr. Kvitko made his New York City debut with a solo recital at Carnegie Hall that “was met with rousing applause\, bravos\, and a standing ovation” (New York Concert Review). He made solo\, chamber and orchestral appearances in the United States\, Canada\, Ireland\, Spain\, Italy\, Austria\, Russia\, Ukraine\, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. \nAs a composer he gathered multiple awards for his incidental music for the production of Steven Dietz’s play “Dracula.” Lawrence Cosentino of City Pulse wrote: “Kvitko wove a borderline insane level of care and sophistication into every bar of his score even when you can barely hear it\,” and Fanfare Magazine called it “a well-conceived\, executed\, and imaginative score… entertaining\, powerful\, witty.” Other compositions include incidental music for Tennessee Williams’ play “The Glass Menagerie” as well as many transcriptions and arrangements. His cadenzas for Mozart’s Concerto in D Minor were called “spectacular\, to say the least” (Pizzicato Magazine\, Germany) \nWhat makes Kvitko’s career truly unique\, is that his artistic accomplishments are balanced by his reputation as an internationally sought-after classical recording engineer and producer of the highest caliber\, declared by Fanfare Magazine as “one of the best in the business\,” and dubbed a “recording wizard” by New York Concert Review. Gramophone Magazine stated that “as engineer\, he makes magic\,” while American Record Guide praised his work as a ”consistent stream of exceptionally enjoyable recordings.” He is a Latin Grammy-nominated producer in Best Classical Album category. His recording of Carter Pann’s piece Mechanics was a finalist for Pulitzer Prize in Music. He is a wonderfully talented and charismatic young performer\, teacher\, accompanist\, and choir director. \nIn December 2016 he debuted with the South bend symphony playing Prokofiev’s 3rd Piano concerto. In 2018 Bush was featured in the Howland Chamber Music Circle concert accompanying cellist Daniel Frankhuizen and soprano Rachel Hall\, and playing solo works. In 2020 he won second place in the National Association of Negro Musicians (NANM) New York\, regional competition. In January 2023 Bush premiered the trio “Rosas for Rosi” by Colombian composer Paola Marquez\, at the Marc A. Scorca Hall at the National Opera Center. Also in 2023 Bush participated in the historic production of composer Margaret Bond’s work “Simon Bore The Cross” in Atlanta GA. Bush recently performed Florence Price’s Concerto in One Movement with members of the Detroit Opera House. \nBush’s background in classical music performance combined with his gospel church roots result in unique interpretations and an original sound. \nJoseph is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in music under the tutelage of Irma Vallecillo. He received his Masters in piano performance from Indiana University studying under Alexander Toradze as a part of the Toradze Piano Studio.
