Concerts at Calvary: Larchikova & Diordiev | February 22, 2025

The young Ukrainian piano duo of Anastasiia Larchikova and Mykhailo Diordiev in a program including works by Ukrainian and American composers.


 

Mykhailo Diordiiev is a ukrainian pianist.

Currently is a student at the National Music Academy in Kyiv (Prof. Natalia Gridneva) and Kunstuniversität Graz (Prof. Peter Jozsa).

Twice received a scholarship by the President of Ukraine.

Played concerts in Ukraine, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Belgium, Estonia etc.

Winner of many international piano competitions, such as:

  • Grand Prix at the International Virtual Competition organized by ConcertFestival.org (USA);
  • 3rd prize at the International Music Competition organized by Association Les Musicales du Centre (France);
  • 2nd prize at the „Samson Francois“ international piano competition (France).

Participated in different international academies, such as “Vere Music Academy” in Ukraine, „EMI-Vienna“, „Allegro-vivo“, “Anton Bruckner Summer Academy 2024” in Austria and “La Cellissima” in Germany.

Took part in many international festivals, such as “Music in the Alps“ and “Arsonore 2024” in Austria, “2023 Modelhof world festival of performing arts” in Switzerland, “International Evgeny Mravinsky Festival” in Estonia.

Participated in piano and chamber music master-classes by Stanislav Khristenko, Oleksiy Grynyuk, Roman Lopatynskyi, Vadim Gladkov, Vladimir Kharin, Lilya Zilberstein, Gabriel Kwok, Markus Schirmer, Denis Severin, Alexander Pavlovsky, Sergei Bresler, Ori Kam, Kyril Zlotnikov, Maria Kliegel.

 


Anastasiia Larchikova is a pianist from Ukraine.

In 2021 she completed her Bachelor’s degree at the National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kyiv.

In 2023 she obtained her Master’s degree from the National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kyiv.

At the moment she is a student at the Kunstuniversität Graz (prof. Peter Jozsa).

Received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture of Austria (2024).

Played concerts in Ukraine, Chech Republic, Austria, Switzerland and Spain.

She is a prizewinner of many international and all-Ukrainian competitions:

  • 3rd prize at the Second International Barvinsky Competition (Ukraine, 2011);
  • 1st prize at the All-Ukrainian Competition “New Names of Ukraine” (Ukraine, 2012);
  • 1st prize at the Third All-Ukrainian Competition “Amber Notes” (Ukraine, 2012);
  • 1st prize at the First All-Ukrainian Competition named after O. Verikivska (Ukraine, 2012);
  • 2nd prize at the Fourth All-Ukrainian Neuhaus Competition (Ukraine, 2014);
  • 2nd prize at the All-Ukrainian Competition “Interpretation of Contemporary Music” in the “Chamber Ensemble” category (Ukraine, 2021);
  • 2nd prize at the International Music Competition organized by the Association Les Musicales du Centre (France, 2022);
  • Semi-finalist at the Alicante International Piano Competition (Spain, 2024).

She was a participant in many international festivals, such as:

  • Music Festival “Music in the Alps” (Austria, 2022, 2023, 2024);
  • Modelhof World Festival of Performing Arts (Switzerland, 2023);
  • Festival “Allegro Vivo” with masterclasses by Lilya Zilberstein Austria, 2023).
