The Thornwillow Institute proudly announces the launch of Thornwillow Concerts at Calvary, a new music series in the magnificent Gothic venue of Newburgh’s historic Calvary Church. With its remarkable acoustics, its newly restored Skinner Organ, and its magnificent Steinway Concert Grand piano, the impressive yet intimate sanctuary of Calvary Church is the perfect setting in which to experience great music.

Curated by Artistic Director Lowell Liebermann, the series will feature world-class artists performing classical instrumental, vocal, and chamber music, as well as jazz and other genres. Thornwillow Concerts strives for robust community engagement in the form of outreach and collaboration with local artists, fostering music education by utilizing the venue and visiting artists for masterclasses and student mentoring, and by working with local schools and organizations to bring free access to great music for the community.
